Brighter Robots

Top Ten

Top Ten Robots for Restaurants (2026)

Restaurant robots do four jobs: run food and bus tables (Bear Robotics Servi, Keenon, Pudu), clean floors (LionsBot, Avidbots, Gausium), deliver orders outside (Serve, Starship, Cartken) and greet guests (SoftBank Pepper).

Pick the job that costs you the most steps per shift, then pilot one robot before buying more.

Brighter Robots helps businesses find the right robot for their operation. Specialized AI agents research the options, check the vendors and run the numbers for manufacturing, warehouses and restaurants. You approve every step.

What restaurant robots do, and how we chose

Restaurant robots are not replacing staff. The useful ones take the walking: carrying plates and trays, scrubbing floors after close, running orders down the block, or answering the same question at the door.

Every robot below is in the Brighter Robots catalog with a photo we can credit. Descriptions follow the catalog record and the company’s own site. Where two robots did the same job equally well we preferred the non-Chinese company. Where a Chinese company is listed, origin is labelled. Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau are not mainland China and do not count as Chinese-made.

Serving and cleaning robots are a category where many makers are in mainland China. Three Chinese companies are listed here and labelled as such. Richtech Robotics, a US company, is not in the catalog with a photo yet, so it is not listed.

The list is grouped by job, not ranked. There are no prices on this page; Brighter Robots does not quote vendors.

Why these ten?

  • They cover the four jobs: serving, cleaning, delivery and greeting.
  • Each has a catalog record and a credited photo, so you can see it and check the source.
  • Non-Chinese options exist for every job: Bear Robotics for serving, LionsBot and Avidbots for cleaning, Serve, Starship and Cartken for delivery, SoftBank for greeting.
  • Serving robots are the usual first pilot. See the restaurants page for the Servi example and where the robots are built.

How to use this list

  1. Count the steps

Which trips do servers make most per shift: food out, plates back, drinks? That is the job.

  2. Check the floor

Serving robots need clear aisles, level floors and a place to park and charge. Thresholds, ramps and tight corners are the usual blockers.

  3. Decide on origin

If you cannot use Chinese-made equipment, filter to the non-Chinese options above. Only mainland China counts; Taiwan and Hong Kong do not.

  4. Pilot one robot for one job

60 to 90 days, one dining room, written success criteria. See the robot pilot checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Is this list ranked?

No. It is grouped by job: serving, cleaning, delivery and greeting. The right robot depends on your floor and your busiest trips.

Which serving robots are not Chinese-made?

On this list, Bear Robotics Servi. Its HQ is in the United States and a cited interview says the robots are built in Gumi, South Korea. Keenon and Pudu are headquartered in mainland China.

Do serving robots replace servers?

No. They carry food and plates so people stay with guests. The job they take is the walking, not the service.

What does a restaurant robot cost?

Serving robots are commonly offered to buy or on a monthly lease. Brighter Robots does not quote prices here. The restaurants page cites one reseller listing as an example, and we run your numbers when you contact us.

Can a serving robot handle stairs or steps?

No. Serving robots need level floors or ramps. Check thresholds, patio transitions and tight corners before a pilot.
